Super Location - Super Hospitality - Looking forward to come back! Thank you
15/05/10 My travel companion & myself spent three lovely days on Santorirni during our recent journey to Turkey and Greece. Santorini is all the photos promise it to be. We were most fortunate to be booked into Irida Suites. Dimitri met us from our delivery van, welcomed us, scooped up luggage and led us the short few steps to the apartments. For me, it was love at first sight. Katerina welcomed us with refreshments and the view of a lifetime. We were at Santorini before the tourist season was in full swing and because tourist daytrip buses were not yet running we relied on local buses to move about the island. Katerini & Dimitri had many suggestions in response to our questions. They also had the knowkedge and historical background information about Santorina and other islands that I was interested in. They shared current information and their love for Greece with us - the food, the agriculture, the people. The room at the Irida was soothing; the patio was a plesant place to relax. Breakfast was continental with the best breads, yogurts and fruit possible. Such a good beginning to a full day of adventure. Definitely my stay was too short and I will return with my husband to enjoy the beuatiful sunsets of Santorina and the welcoming hospitality of Katerina & Dimitri at Irida Suites - the boutique hotel with only a few steps . . .
Dear Dimitri and Katerina, After viewing the pictures and reading the reviews of others, I am now filled with such a longing to be there. I think that I was most fortunate than others in that I had expected exactly what I got: my "adopted" niece and nephew! I have only one regret and that is that I never got to walk the (was it 365 steps?) to get to Skaro with Dimitri the last time I was there about 2 years ago. I have many pictures of my own downloaded on my PC and often go in and re-live those years. This year will probably not be a trip to Greece for me due to some health issues. I miss you and your "greeting treat" made with Katerina's home-made (raisins I think) used as the topping. Much of what I read, is very much like what I share with friends, my Doctors, acquaintaces, strangers on planes to/from Greece, and any stranger who I hear speaking either Greek or English. I just came back from the Orthopedic Practice when I had gone for Physical Therapy and had to just take a look on your Web Site. I'm glad and sad that I did, because I am HOMESICK! With Love, "Theia" Eleni
